whos really bored and wants to act like a complete jackass?
I can’t imagine why you’d want to do that right now, since you should be working on your English assignments.

Read a story, read a poem, perform a song acoustically!
Or just come to support your fellow artists!
Talk to me or Mr. Gotliffe if you’re interested.
Rawson’s Blogging Army, take note of this event! I know plenty of you are terrific writers, performers, musicians, waffle-makers, haberdashers, porcupine teasers, etc.
Even if you’re not planning to perform, still attend! I’m considering performing one of those self-celebratory songs I’ve been telling you about that I’ve composed in honor of my own greatness…
I don’t know how to start it >.<
Depends on what it is… maybe I could help?
Well, we’re doing a mock trial in English. I just dunno how to start it.. “Ladies and Gentlemen of the jury…”
Idk?!
Well, what’s the topic on?! Come on here Rachel, I need to know at least THAT much. :P
Okay, okay. We’re just finished Of Mice and Men, so pretty much we’re having a murder trial for George, and I’m the defense attorney. We’re saying that George told Curley to kill Lennie.. Or something. The other members of the defense team came up with that. fjdkalsfjklds jkl >.<
I suggest starting with a question, like: ‘Who was the real victim here? Was it Lennie and only Lennie? Or was George a victim too?’
that was a really bad example. >.< Anyway, that’s what I sugget anyway. :P
Okay, ummm…….yeah………I’m a junior, 17, in CP English 3, I should know this………I don’t know. No one ever taught me! Listen, if I am in CP English 3, most likely you’ll make it without knowing how to start an opening statement. Look at how well I’m doing! :)
Thanks Emily, I might go along with that. And thank-you junior that I don’t know, I suppose I’ll churn out something with Emily’s advice. That’s funny.. I asked a different junior friend of mine and he said that same thing. Hmm.
Hey Rach… After “Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury,” it might be a good idea to start painting the picture of George that you want them to see, an honest, hard-working guy who loved Lennie, looked after him, shared dreams and aspirations with him… and then mention the predicament that he’s in, and that the jury will see that the charges could not possibly be true… oops, I’d better stop, because I’m on the verge of writing it for you! ;-)
awful.
my family was at my house for the first 5 days. awful.
i got food poisioning for 2/3 days. worst.
i got some good presents.
worst break…ever.
You must be thankful you’re back in school!
I saw an AWESOME production of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. The only thing more awesome will be when all of YOU are performing it in Rawson’s English classes next month!!!
The highlight of my break was hanging out with my friends and family, and also getting “The Hangover” on DVD. That movie is one of the greatest of all time.
The lowlight of my break was watching the Giants get eliminated from the playoffs and the Jets make the playoffs. It’s not the way it was meant to be.
I couldn’t agree with you more…
I Winter break was slow and I can honestly say that I was not ready for school today. Here are some of the highlights of my winter break. I went skiing, bowling, ice skating, and went to my relatives house. I had a lot of fun. The place I went skiing was an intense moutain in antartica. As I went down the moutain, I slowly flew off trail. I hit a tree and blacked out. I woke up 2 hours later to find my self in a nest of man eating polar bears. I took down all the polar bears, but one snuck up behind me and bit my arm. It bearly hurts me, but my wrist got fractured in two places. That ruined the rest of my vacation
Yikes… tough break! Hopefully you’ll be back on the slopes soon…
On christmas eve, my family came over and we had a party. We ate tamales and for the little kids, my older brother played santa clause. I was in charge for them to stay in a room and not get out until so called “santa” came. When he came, the kids rushed out the door and went downstairs. They saw their presents, and immediately they started opening their presents. I saw mine and I got two watches from new york and company, clothes, shoes, perfume, and make-up. Many people celebrate christmas mostly on christmas day. My family and I, on the other hand, celebrate christmas mostly on Christmas eve. On Christmas day, my father’s friend invitated us to dinner in new york city. We had a great time. On new years eve, my family and I had another party. It ended until 4 o’clock in the morning. It was great, but exhausting. As for the rest of the break, I was at home and hanging with friends.
My girlfriend who was of Mexican descent made tamales for me one Christmas… yummy!!!
All break i wanted to see Alvin and the Chipmunks, no one would go with me. I was very disappointed.Break Ruined.
Oh no… you’ve made me so sad! :-(
It started on the half a day two weeks ago. We hungout in town messing around like usual. Then, went to see Alvin and the Chipmunks. Then, John slept over my house and we chilled at my house. While watching tv we talked about Christmas and stuff that we wanted. The next day John went home and I had to help clean up around the house. Then Christmas came and I got a new cell phone, the lg xenon, and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. The rest I got was clothes. My sister got the Wii. she went nuts when she saw it. Then the family went to relatives house to see what they got. It seems that my uncle Timmy (about 50 years old) got the Wii too. We went down stairs and hooked it up in the basement. It was really fun how my sister and my uncle were going back and forth with tennis and bowling. The rest of my break was me hanging out with my cousin from Georgia. She stayed over a couple of days. We went to the mall to get my cousins gifts back in Georgia and got myself with new shoes from Foot Locker. When my cousin left after a couple of days I hungout with John, Noelle, and Caitlin. The last day of my break I did nothing just relaxed.
Sounds like you had an awesome time! I have two questions:
1. How do you like the new Call of Duty?
2. What did you think of the “Squeakquil”?
if you do, i will never talk to you. ever. but i sorta like the name “Paige’. have you heard of it? yeah, thats what i’d like to be called…
Mr. T pities the fool who doesn’t come to LOL tonight.
